So you can shop safely, we verify the identity of our sellers. Anyone who has successfully completed the check carries the Verified badge – clearly visible on their profile and listings.
What does the Verified badge mean?
The badge shows that the seller has confirmed their identity to HerMarkt with a valid ID document. A real, verified person stands behind the account.
Identity confirmed
Name, date of birth and address were provided and checked by HerMarkt.
ID document reviewed
A valid ID document was submitted and manually reviewed.
Payout account on file
Payouts are only made to a bank account belonging to the verified seller.
How verification works

Provide personal details
The seller provides their name, date of birth and address.

Upload an ID document
The front and back of a valid ID document are transmitted securely and encrypted.

Review by HerMarkt
Our team carefully reviews the details and the document. This usually takes a few business days.

Receive the Verified badge
After a successful review, the badge appears on the seller's profile and all of their listings.
Good to know: The Verified badge confirms the seller's identity – but it doesn't replace your own look at reviews, item descriptions and photos. Always pay within HerMarkt so buyer protection applies.
