How does SEPA payment via QR code work?

With the EPC QR code, you can transfer payment details to a compatible banking app.

At checkout, select SEPA transfer. After creating the order, HerMarkt will display:

  • An EPC QR code
  • The account holder
  • The IBAN
  • The BIC
  • The exact amount
  • The unique reference purpose

How to Proceed

  1. Open your banking app.
  2. Select the function to scan a transfer or QR code.
  3. Scan the displayed QR code.
  4. Before confirming, check: recipient, IBAN, amount, and reference purpose.
  5. Authorize the transfer.

Important Notes

  • Not all banking apps support EPC QR codes. In this case, you can manually enter the displayed payment details.
  • The reference purpose must be copied exactly for your payment to be automatically assigned.
  • Scanning the QR code does not confirm a payment. The order will only be shown as paid after the actual payment has been received.
